Finance Sub-Committee C chairman Sen. Ralph Recto directs a series of questions to Department of Tourism (DOT) Acting Secretary Ramon Jimenez on the proposed 2012 budget of the DOT.

Recto urges DOT officials to work for inclusion of PH as co-destination in tour packages offered by global tour operators. He said international cruise liners operating in Asia should also start looking into our scenic coastal areas as part of the port stop-overs.

Also present in the hearing are the heads of agencies under the DOT such as TIEZA, Intramuros Administration, National Parks Development Committee, Duty Free Philippines, Philippine Retirement Authority, Nayong Pilipino Foundation, Philippine Commission on Sports and Scuba Diving, and the Philippine Tourism Promotions Board.
