An Act Authorizing the Grant of a Full Crop Insurance Coverage to Qualified Beneficiaries of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Amending for the Purpose Section 14 of Republic Act 9700, Otherwise Known As The “Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Extension With Reforms”

• Proposes to provide full insurance coverage for CARP farmers by amending Sec. 14 of Republic Act No. 9700 or CARP
• Extension with Reforms Act, as an additional support service to CARP farmers.
• Seeks to compensate for damages (compensable losses include natural calamities such as typhoon, flood, drought, earthquake and volcanic eruption, plant diseases and pest infestations) inflicted on CARP farmers by various calamities.
  The term of the insurance will be from the time of planting to the expected date of harvest.
