Sen. Ralph Recto visited Pampanga to give assistance to residents affected by Typhoon Lando. He discussed with Governor Lilia Pineda the possibility of a river catchment area in Pampanga’s downstream section. The move is expected to cushion the effect of flooding from upper Pampanga River, particularly from provinces around Pampanga. This plan would benefit the seven towns in the province that were recently affected by Typhoon Lando. The catchment would also provide for the irritation needs of Pampanga and reduce the irrigation demands of the province from Angat Dam.
