Session ended at 2:07 AM earlier today. Thanks to Senator Migz Zubiri for keeping an open mind in accepting amendments that have improved the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL). BBL now is more constitutionally compliant, more fiscally responsible. The Bangsamoro government will be accountable for the funds it will receive from the national government as COA will continue to audit it.

In the end, I would like to think that the Senate did its job in scrutinizing, improving and passing a better BBL version. Hopefully this will result to bringing lasting peace in Mindanao.

Thanks to all who put in their time, effort and ideas, allowing us to come up with good amendments to BBL.
