Finance Secretary Ralph G. Recto convened officials of the Bureau of Customs PH (BOC) to discuss strategic initiatives to enhance customs administration and eliminate trade barriers affecting the country's supply chains to address inflation and rev up revenue collections at the BOC Headquarters in Port Area, Manila.
He commended the BOC for surpassing its revenue collection target in 2023 as a result of its intensified drive against smuggling and enhanced trade facilitation through digitalization.
Secretary Recto assured BOC officials of the Department of Finance’s (DOF) strong support in its plans and programs to further modernize the customs process, ensure the protection of consumers, and improve the overall ease of doing business in the country.
