Finance Secretary Ralph G. Recto convened the Bureau of Internal Revenue Philippines' (BIR) Management Committee to discuss strategic plans to enhance the country’s tax administration to hit this year’s PHP 4.3 trillion total revenue collection target at the BIR’s National Office in Quezon City.
Secretary Recto reiterated to BIR officials the President’s marching orders for the Bureau to deliver on its promise of prompt, efficient, and excellent taxpayer and tax administration service.
He assured BIR officials that the Department of Finance (DOF) will act fast on proposals and projects that will further improve tax administration while pushing forward more initiatives that will help grow the economy to broaden the tax base.
